“ After leafing through the Leeds 'Master Menu', we ordered starters and mains from Nazams..................................................................... The most delicious Lamb Jalfrezi and Mild (not Korma) Lamb Curry were soon delivered. We can;t recommend this curry house enough! Such scrumptious food and so very economical on the wallet! “ I'm a big fan of this very simple curry house. A bizarre little restaurant, with not much thought having been put into decor, it also runs on a BYOB policy. The menu is cheap, but in terms of the ingrediants used in the food are fresher than those of its neighbour. The service is great in the way that the waiter, who flits between tables and the kitchen, pretty muich leaves you alone. The food being served is not particularly well presented, it is as though your mate had just knocked something up in their kitchen and haphazzadly plopped it on your plate. This does not really matter though. The food is tasty and the curries feel well made. You do get the feeling that the place is just a sideline for the owners, who just happen to be good cooks. For a very very relaxed meal, with no fuss, and half decent food, I recommend Nazams. ”
“ There are very few places in Leeds where you and a friend can stuff your faces with abandon, guzzle wine by the bottle and still have change from twenty quid, yet Nazam's ticks all these boxes and more with its tasty, obscenely reasonable Indian fare. With a BYOB policy and plenty of nearby off-licenses it's a great choice for a cheap night out that feels like you've splashed out. The naan breads here are the biggest I've ever seen, and the portions of delicious, traditional dishes are very generous considering the price. While it doesn't look much from the outside and the décor errs on the side of functional rather than opulent, the lively atmosphere and friendly staff more than make up for any negative first impressions, and the late opening hours (which seems to vary dependent on how busy they are) mean it's a great place for a post-pub curry as well as an early evening meal. ”
